How we met

Gabrielle and Afo first crossed paths during Yacht Week in Croatia on a pre-business school trip. Their boats happened to dock next to each other, and Gabrielle immediately caught Afo’s eye. They shared brief conversations throughout the week, and when they returned to campus, a strong friendship developed over lunches, coffees, and countless text messages.

Their first date took place at a cozy Italian restaurant near campus just before Thanksgiving. From then, their love grew through global trips, romantic dates, and quiet nights in. On a spring break trip to Colombia, Afo asked Gabrielle to be his girlfriend, and told her he loved her just four days later (yes, he was sprung!). After graduating from business school, they moved to New York City and began building a life together.

Afo proposed in the South of France in a whirlwind, romantic day full of surprises, fake-outs, and even celebrity cameos (thank you, Kevin Hart!).

Now, as they prepare to walk down the aisle, Gabrielle and Afo are excited to bring together two vibrant cultures and families in an ultimate celebration of love.
